See the flowers Smiling

It is raining cats and dogs yet again today so I was thinking Spring. The lighting really stinks for this picture (since it IS raining cats and dogs) so I appologize for that one! :)
I used some new papers from Basic Grey Origins line on top of some brown card stock. I used my corner rounder on the sentiment panel and stamped a Hero Arts sentiment on it. I used a Teresa Collins journaling stamp on the right side of the card. Initially I would have stamped it straight, but I dropped it on the card and just stamped over part of my accident (Happy accident right?) I used some of the Basic Grey Origins stickers to put on the stamped journaling block. I completed the card by using some Kaiser Kraft and Prima flowers with a Basic Grey Origins brad as the flower center.
Thanks for looking! I hope you have a wonderful and dry day!

A little Canned Joy

I love Crafty Secrets images and this is one of my faves! I was busy cleaning my scraproom last night so I only had time to make a quick atc, but I was pleased with how it came out. In addition to the image, the sentiment was also from Crafty Secrets. I used a Jenni Bowlin Vintage Button and dmc floss to complete the atc.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Beautiful

I was lucky to get a fantastic package from my friend Kristin yesterday which was full of fantastic goodies. I just couldn't believe my eyes! I just knew that I would have to get creative with some of the items last night.
Almost all of the items on this card come from the scrap pack that Kristin sent me. I used a $1 stamp set from Michaels (gotta love those) to add a sentiment to the front of this card. I also cut up some 7 Gypsies and Websters pages to complete the card.
Thanks for looking today!

March's Inspiration Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!

I am in charge of the inspiration Challenge over at The Scrappy Tree and today is the start of March's challenge. I really loved the beautiful colors and images of the Arizona tea box so that is the springboard for this month's challenge. If anyone wants to participate, please come on over the The Scrappy Tree and check it out!

I was inspired to make a rather simplistic card. I had the perfect stamped image to go along with this challenge!! This is just a challenge for fun, hope to see some of you there!

Monochromatic inchies

I am doing an inchie swap this month where we are making monochromatic inchies. These are two of the sets I am sending out. The one on the left is all white with lace, a punched flower and a pearl. The one on the right is my brown inchie with a wood grained paper as the base, then an owl stamped on kraft cardstock. I finished it off with some brown Scrapper's floss. I am probably going to make another set or two so I'll be sure to post those later on! Happy Wednesday!

A very full blog post today!

Hello! I have what seems like a million things to post about today! First off, The Scrappy Tree, www.thescrappytree.blogspot.com is celebrating National Craft Month for the month of March and there are all kinds of fun projects that Kristin, Gayle and myself will be posting to hopefully inspire you to get crafty this month. Go on over and check it out!

Next I want to tell you about a fun swap that I am doing this month. My friend Erica is celebrating her 1 yr. blog anniversary over at Zunky Chic (www.zunkychic.com) and she has opened up a swap to celebrate. This swap is open up to 12 people, so head over quickly if you are interested in a fun, vintage, spring collage swap! I only hope I can make something that others will like!
Finally, I have a card to share with you today. This card was made using some very old supplies! The die cut flowers are from Archivers and I haven't been to an Archivers in 3 years!! Yikes! Anyway, I used some lace, patterned paper of unknown origin, vintage sheet music, an epoxy bubble sticker and one of my favorite rub ons from Melissa Frances to complete this card! I also got some wonderful colored yarn from my mother in law and I decided to add some hand stitching to this card!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and get crafty today! :)

A scrappy page to show you today

Wow! It's Monday again! Where did the weekend go to? I did manage to get some scrapbooking done so I thought I would share a page with you.

This is Debbie from 2004! I can't get over how much Ella resembles her now that Ella is the same age that Debbie was in this photo!
