Ella the builder

Ella just loves to build blocks and can spend a good chunk of the day making all kinds of wonderful things. She likes to make "Transformers" right now and she is holding one of her unique transformers in the pictures! We went to Walmart last night and we got even more blocks to work with now so even more Transformers can be built!

Since I went shopping and gave all the kids showers and baths, I didn't have a lot of time to work on projects. I did continue working on a secret Valentines swap item and I got a lot of work done on a Circle journal that I've been working on, but nothing is complete yet. I will hopefully have something to show tomorrow!

Winter

This picture is of an old bridge that is now shut down out in the country outside of our town and I thought it looked so pretty in this picutre. I love how the trees look in this picture.

I am hoping to get to work on a few projects today/tonight and hopefully be able to share them with you tomorrow.

A little Funky

Wow! Somehow it got to be almost 3 pm and I am just now getting a chance to post this!! Time flies!! Anyway....

This card is a bit funky, but it was relatively quick and easy to do. I distressed almost every bit of it (and was wearing tons of distressed paper shavings in the process to prove it!) and had fun doing it. I used DCWV papers with the exception of the the piece used with wish stamped on it; that was from Basic Grey. The wish stamp is from a Fiskars set that my Grandmother gave me (Thanks Grandmom!!). The lace is from Fancy Pants Designs and I used Chocolate chalk ink!

And just to touch on the Vikings game............I am sorry our team didn't win. We could have easily...the Saints did not play well, but we seemed to have some fumble issues, Aidrian (Butterfingers) Peterson to name one, but I am hopeful for next year! I personally blame my cousin Amy who never watches with me and did for that game as the reason we lost! LOL. (Not really, but I like to tease her!!) Better luck next year Vikes!

A little Purple Pride

Okay, we have one of the ugliest mascots/symbols around, but I have to show my Purple Pride today and hope that we beat the New Orleans Saints today to advance to the Super Bowl!! Go Vikings, and even though you have an ugly mascot, I will be sitting on the couch wearing my Favre jersey and cheering you on! Good Luck Vikings!

Finally!!!

I finally have a brand new laptop which is working wonderfully and I can show you what I did last week. I did do way more cleaning than scrapping, but I did manage to get my goal of 2 pages done and 1 card so I will share them with you now!

This first layout is of Dylan at last Summer's Arts and More festival in town where he got his face painted like a lady bug! I used My Mind's Eye papers and Crate Paper papers as well. The buttons are from my vintage stash and the title letters are from Basic Grey. There's also some stitching on the page as well, but it's hard to see.

The second layout was from this past October for the first snow. The kids were so excited to see it, there was just no keeping them out of it! I used a vintage pattern in the center, Jenni Bowlin and Thickers for the title, Making Memories paper, My Minds Eye paper, a kraft tag, and snowflake brad for this page.

This card uses mostly Bo Bunny papers and a journaling spot, Hero Arts stamps, Making Memoreis and Prima flowers and a vintage button as the flower center. I used a stick pin from Fancy Pants to complete the card.

Finally, I have to wish the Minnesota Vikings luck on the big game tomorrow! I hope we can make it to the Super Bowl!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Good morning! Today is a bit unpleasant so far as my laptop is not cooperating with me and I can't get pictures to upload anywhere on it. I think it needs to be taken in. Perhaps it is infected with something yucky!! I am on my husband's desktop right now, luckily getting this to work.



I made this card last night super quickly! I was about to leave my scraproom at 1 am (yes, I stayed up that late!) and I saw a box of beads that I need to go through and I thought that I would like to use cardboard for a project sometime. I proceeded to rip part of the box of right then and there an dthe idea for this card came quickly. I simply tore the cardboard and peeled off a bit until I got it to look the way I wanted. Then I used Copper Glimmer mist on it for a little shimmer. Then I added a Basic Grey chipboard accent and Prima flowers to the front. I love Crackle paint and I added a bit to the bottom right of my card. I did have to wait a while for it to dry and then I added my stamped 1 of a Kind sentiment. Finally, I added some string on the crease! I hope you can be inspired to reuse something in your crafting today!

My first Alchohol ink experiment

Well, yesterday I got to play around a little bit with the Tim Holtz Alcohol inks. They are pretty fun and create a unique look. I am sharing a picture of the atc that I made using them.

I used a million different colors and I also used some copper powder to add even more metallic to it. I used a few inchies on it as well.

I will definitely be working more with these! Happy Friday!
