Long Overdue Post!

My poor little blog has gone far too long with out a post!

I am currently getting ready for a craft sale. My cards are going to be on sale for $2 each or three for $5. I have made approx. 110 cards. Here are a few of my favorites that I made:

I just love those vintage ladies! I thought this would be a lovely friendship card.

The card above is an anniversary card. I just love the chairs from Hero Arts!!

It wouldn't be a card of mine with out a flower! :)

The Friendship jar set of stamps/die from Papertrey Ink is a fave!!! I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to post another post soon!!

The 4th and a few minis

Hello everyone! Happy Belated 4th! I wanted to share a few photos from our 4th celebration. We went to a little town's parade and Dylan had to get a prime spot!

I had to immortalize this moment of sisterly love! These two have been bugging each other lately!

Debbie and Ella got to walk in the parade the first go around. Yes, you read that right, the FIRST go around. This town is so small that the parade goes around twice! lol. The second time they were riding in an old fire truck!

Today I posted a few little mini cards on The Scrappy Tree's site. Take a look over there for more details, but here are the pictures of the two cards I made.

I promise a less rushed post next time!

Recent layouts

I recently did a bunch of layouts! For me, 4 pages is a bunch. I am not typically doing layouts it seems, but I did have fun with these and I'd like to share them with you today. Here's one of the kids at the Mall of America on the Merry Go Round:

I followed a sketch from Susan Stringfellow pretty closely and expanded it to a two page spread. I used Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe papers and embellies for these pages and an EK Success border punch.

Here are the two pages together:

The next layouts I'd like to share is from the Junk Bonanza in Shakopee, MN. Last year my friend Erica came up and we met our friend Melissa for a fun day of junking!! Here are two pages I made of the day:

I used Crate Paper again, this time the Restoration line which I love! All the embellies were from the same line with the exception of the plastic flowers which are from Making Memories.

Here are the two pages together. I think I'll switch the pages' order when I put them in my book. The more I look at it, I like my journaling page to be on the right.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

A great weekend

Our friends were down from WI this weekend to visit and boy did we have fun! We were able to go to Mineopa State Park and scrap and just hang out! Such fun! Here are a few pics to share.

I just love the long staircase!

We have had so much rain lately that the Falls were really flowing and muddy! The mist was spraying up at us from where we stood.

I had the kids do a silly face at the park! LOL. Fun!

As for crafting, I was able to make a few cards, almost complete a few layouts and I made these tags. I have a post on The Scrappy Tree detailing the technique I used for the tags. I had a lot of fun making them!

It was a wonderful weekend! I hope you all had a great weekend too!

What a fun Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun. The kids and I had a weekend getaway that really had us busy but having just the greatest time. On Saturday we went to Mall of America.

Fresh off the hotel shuttle and ready to shop!

Of course we mostly did the rides!

Doesn't Ella look ready behind the wheel?

Photo op at the Sea Life Aquarium at the mall. Dylan was hamming it up by the jellyfish.

On Sunday we went to my friend's home is Wisconsin where the kids were loving the Wii. We don't have one of those yet.

This upcoming weekend is going to be fun too.
