Resolution

Okay, I think I've decided on a good scrappy resolution. I neglect doing layouts so I decided I will resolve to do 2 a week and I resolve to get published somewhere with a card in 2010. I have started to try a few publications in the past week so we will see what happens! I hope that whatever your goals/resolutions are, that you will succeed with them!

The card I have today is featured over at The Scrappy Tree today. Go check out the fun New Year, New Beginnings challenge they have....you can win a prize! www.thescrappytree.blogspot.com. I used DCWV papers for this card as well as some never before inked Inkadinkado stamps! I took out the paper piercer for this card too. I really enjoyed making this one.

Happy New Years Eve to all!

Happy Birthday

I have another card that I worked on last night that I will share with you today. I really love the aged, vintage look of Websters Pages and Graphic 45 papers. I decided to make this card using those fantastic lines! I have also had the black, Happy Birthday stickers for a long time. I love the look of them. They are from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I have never heard of that company before, but we used them once in a card class that I took, so I bought a sheet right away! It was a sheet of Happy Birthday stickers in a variety of fonts and styles. I figured I could get a lot of mileage out of them!

I really enjoyed using my sewing machine on this card. I think that the stitching adds a nice, homespun look.

Thank you for stopping by!

Materials for this card: Cosmo Cricket, Websters Pages, Graphic 45 papers, Vintage simplicity pattern, lace, Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Birthday sticker, kaiser kraft pearls, Kaiser Kraft and Prima flowers.

Gratitude

I am probably thinking like most people about the year that is almost finished and the new year about to start. One of the things I'd like to focus more on in 2010 is gratitude. I want to appreciate and be thankful for many people and things. I created this card with that in mind. This is a card conveying thanks to our military.

I used Close to My Heart papers and cardstock. I also used a paper piercer, Fiskars border punch, Hambly Screen Prints rub on and Melissa France rub on. I thought the card needed a nautical touch and I added rope to the card as well.

Hopefully, you are also thinking about what you are thankful for and how you can show that gratitude!

New Year, New Beginnings Challenge

Okay, I lied before, I do have something to show you today! I can show you my New Year, New Beginnings Challenge item for The Scrappy Tree! More details are at http://www.thescrappytree.com/!
I thought it would be fun to see what the kids' goals for the New Year were so that was my inspiration for this page! I used all Sassafrass Lass papers and I had fun stitching on this layout!

New Glasses

A good friend....

Well, Christmas is over and I am finally back in my scraproom!! Tonight I wanted to make a friendship card and I had this gorgeous Vintage pattern to inspire me! I used Bazzill cardstock, Butternick pattern, 7 Gypsies rub on, and Prima gemstone flourish to make this card. Pop up dots and pop up foam add dimension. Thanks for looking today!
